Flu Vaccine Resources

To our school partners:

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) would like to remind schools that influenza vaccination is still the single best method for preventing the flu. It is not too late to encourage flu vaccination to help keep your students, staff and campus community healthy during this flu season.

With that in mind, we request that LA County schools post on their main web page information about flu vaccinations and a link to our local flu vaccination resources (www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/ip/flu/FluLocatorMain.htm).

Please remind students and parents that their regular health care provider is the best source for getting vaccinated. Those without health insurance or another source of health care may consider community resources such as pharmacies, community clinics, and the LACDPH flu vaccination outreach events.

In addition, LACDPH has many great resources for schools on the following sites. We hope you will find them useful to promote a healthy school campus.
