Assessent: Educational Assessment Services’ primary focus is the coordination and facilitation of each of our district schools’ participation in State and local assessment programs. We order and distribute test materials, ensure the accuracy of student demographic information, ship test materials for scoring, and retrieve and disseminate results. Additionally, we assist in the analysis of test results, preparation of reports, and interpretation of State accountability reports. We serve as the district liaison for communications with the California Department of Education on assessment and accountability issues and with State testing contractors.
BTSA: The Hacienda La Puente Unified School District offers a state-approved Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment/Induction Program. An Early Completion Program is available for those who have three or more years of contract, full-time teaching experience

Finance: The Finance Department is made up of Payroll, Accounting, Budgeting, and Special Projects and is mainly contacted by district employees for various forms.
Accounting: The Accounting Department processes payments to vendors, revolving cash and district staff reimbursements. We also handle the deposits from all the district locations, monitor bank statements, handle facility use and overtime billing of the Associated Student Body. We also assist the auditors in the audit process. Accounting is always willing to answer questions from vendors and district personnel.
Payroll: Staff of seven who pays all classified and certificated employees, regular employees as well as coaches, consultants and other employees. Staff processes Disability claims, Tax reports, Legal claims. We are mainly contacted by employees, Insurance companies and government agencies.
Special Projects: Consists of a Financial Analyst, Sr. Budgeting Technician, and Budget Technician. Duties include assisting the Director of Finance in the day to day operation of the Finance Department, interim reports, year-end financial reconciliation and independent audits. Attendance accounting consists of reporting P-1, P-2, and annual attendance to Los Angeles County Office of Education, as well as assisting school sites (answering questions) in order to provide accurate attendance figures. Fixed Assets accounting maintains all asset records for both active and obsolete equipment over $500. Physical inventory counts are normally done every 3 years to ensure that all assets are accounted for in accordance with GASB 34

Secondary Education: The Secondary Division led by Dr. Danielian, Associate Superintendent of Secondary Schools, is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating implementation of all aspects of the instructional program for secondary schools. Specifically, this includes the development of all course outlines through the consult process, textbook selection, planning and implementing the professional development program, instructional meetings for principals and assistant principals of Instruction, articulation with department chairs and guidance counselors, as well as Advancement Via Individual Determination ( AVID) coordinators, support for schools such as assistance in completing the WASC/Coordinated Compliance Review process. and support for individual school site instructional projects.

Network and Computer Services: The Networks & Computer Services (NCS) department is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of all information and communication technology systems used throughout the District. These functions include infrastructure management, voice communications, data communications, video communications, data integrity and security.
